A little pungent funk & wet topsoil on the nose over red fruits like cranberry, tart strawberry, and plum on the pull of the cork. The palate is reversed, where the tart fruit is primary and the funky Eathiness is secondary. Lighter tannin & body than expected for a Corton, probably due to the vintage.
The acidity blends right into the tart fruit. Surprisingly ready to drink with 30 - 45 minutes of air! Not sure how much life it has left because I've never had a Corton so accessible at such a relatively young age. It even looks like the start of bricking at the edges of the glass.

Rich black fruit with savory spice. Probably not quite showing Grand Cru density, but very balanced and charming right now. Wonderful balance and charm for the first hour, then this started getting slightly tired and drying. Best to enjoy over the next few years.
